INTEND 5G4Data Infrastructure
Our use case (UC) describes a futuristic infrastructure and since real infrastructure is societal critical and thereby under strict regulations we have created a fictional infrastructure and associated synthetic data. The most important part of the synthetic infrastructure is about 40 fictional edge data centers. In the map above, the markers indicate where the edge data centers for the 5G4Data UC are located. It is possible to click on the markers to get more detailed information about the (synthetic) datacentre at that location. The detailed info is structured as follows:
- City: Trondheim
- Cluster ID: EC_27
- GPUs: 64 DGX H100 GPUs each with 8x80 GB of GPU memory
- CPUs: 128 x Intel Xeon Platinum 8480C
- Memory: 128 TB DDR5 RAM
- Major Electricity Source: Hydropower
- Cost of Compute: 8.649
We also created information about the latency between the edge data centers. This dataset, and details on how we created it, is available here in our repository. It can be used to simulate the latency between any edge data centers and the user equipment (UE). More about this in the Intent specification part later on.
